Parx Home Health Care is seeking a Home Health Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team!
Our company provides essential home care services, giving peace of mind to families and the comfort of home to our clients. As a Home Health OTA, you'll be an essential part of our team, working with patients in their homes to develop and implement care plans that meet their unique needs.
In this role, you will work in close collaboration with the Occupational Therapist to provide effective, evidence-based interventions, monitor the patient's progress, and modify rehabilitation programs as necessary. You'll be responsible for documenting the treatment plan, progress, and outcomes accurately. As a Home Health OTA, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, and you'll serve as an advocate and educator for your patients, helping them achieve their optimal level of recovery.
Responsibilities
- Help develop and implement patient care plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
- Provide individualized treatment and interventions that align with patients' needs and goals.
- Document patient progress and outcomes accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices, techniques, and trends in occupational therapy.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the company.
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).
- State of Florida Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
- CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
