Technical Trainer - Enterprise Instructional Designer

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Design & Development: Design and develop comprehensive instructional materials, including interactive e-learning modules, job aids, lesson plans, and facilitator guides for instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced delivery formats.
• Instructional Strategy & Multimedia Integration: Apply evidence-based instructional design frameworks (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and leverage modern authoring tools to build interactive, media-rich learning assets that drive learner engagement and retention.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) Collaboration: Partner effectively with internal SMEs, project leads, and stakeholders to translate operational procedures, technical frameworks, and leadership standards into clear, accessible learning objectives.
• Learning Technology Utilization: Build, publish, and maintain interactive modules using industry standard authoring suites, specifically Articulate 360, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Cloud applications, ensuring seamless LMS and cloud integration.
• Needs Analysis & Assessment: Conduct learning needs analyses and design knowledge checks, quizzes, and practical evaluations to measure training effectiveness and behavior change.
• Brand & Style Alignment: Ensure all training content, visual assets, and instructional documentation align with FDOT and Turnpike Enterprise branding guidelines and maintain a cohesive, professional aesthetic.
• Cloud & Asset Management: Organize, maintain, and version-control training source files, media libraries, and course packages within secure cloud storage environments.
• Quality Assurance & Prototyping: Develop course storyboard and prototypes, gather user feedback during pilot testing, and optimize the learning experience.
• Project Management & Stakeholder Communication: Manage instructional design projects from conception to deployment, adhering to project timelines and providing transparent status updates to leadership.
• Continuous Improvement: Research and integrate emerging trends in talent development, instructional technology, and adult learning theory to future-proof enterprise training offerings.

Mandatory Skills:

1. Education: Bachelor 's Degree in Instructional Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Education or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
2. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of Training (including course development and delivery) experience.
3. Advanced Knowledge of instructional design theories, adult learning principles, and curriculum development methodologies.
4. Demonstrated Expertise in rapid e-learning authoring tools such as but not limited to: Articulate 360, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
5. Strong Understanding of user experience (UX) principles as applied to digital learning interfaces and virtual delivery platforms.
6. Skilled in Collaboration and consulting with Subject Matter Experts to translate technical or operational content into engaging educational narratives.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products for documentation and presentation development.
8. Strong Organizational Skills with the ability to manage multiple course development projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet firm deadlines.
9. Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills, with an emphasis on clarity, instructional copywriting, and tailoring messaging to diverse audiences.
10. Ability to Work Independently and as an active, constructive contributor within a collaborative performance development team
