Responsibilities of the Master Data Specialist include, but are not limited to:
Maintain and manage master data within SAP, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
Create and maintain material master records, including part numbers, descriptions, classifications, and related data.
Support and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and updates within SAP to ensure proper configuration and alignment with production and procurement needs.
Provide technical and functional SAP support for business processes related to materials, purchasing, inventory, and production planning.
Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure data integrity and consistency across all systems.
Develop, document, and implement standardized master data processes and best practices.
Support users through training, troubleshooting, and process improvement initiatives.
Participate in data cleanup, migration, and governance projects as needed.
Qualifications of the Master Data Specialist include, but are not limited to:
Bachelor's in business, Industrial Distribution, or similar degree or experience
Experience in Industrial Distribution, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related industry is a strong qualifier
Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP and Prophet 21 (P21) is a strong qualifier
Strong analytical skills
Detail oriented and strong documentation skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency and accuracy

Additional Information:
Physical Demand: N/A
Working Conditions: Office Environment (with Warehouse rotation)
Shift Time/Overtime: Typically Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm but could vary based on rotation schedule, minimal overtime
