Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with distributors, corporate clients, and project partners, and expand the market presence for table and floor box solutions. Daily responsibilities include generating and qualifying leads, conducting client meetings and product presentations, preparing proposals and quotations, and negotiating contracts in line with company policies. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams on pricing and customization options, monitoring market trends and competitor activity, and preparing regular sales reports and forecasts. The Business Development Manager is expected to achieve revenue targets, ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in business development, sales, and account management, with the ability to identify opportunities and drive revenue growth.
- Experience in client relationship management, networking, and negotiation, with a consultative approach to selling technical or customized products.
- Ability to understand product specifications, customization requirements, and quality standards, preferably in electrical, hardware, or building infrastructure sectors.
- Proficiency in market research, pipeline management, and use of CRM or sales reporting tools to track activities and outcomes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; ability to prepare clear proposals, quotations, and business correspondence.
- Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and sales targets.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Prior experience in B2B sales, channel development, or project-based selling within the Kolkata region or similar markets is an advantage.
