The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from various transport modes like railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage tasks and container movements efficiently.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
• Previous experience with heavy equipment or in a logistics/industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Open availability for the specified work schedule.
