We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Job Summary

We are seeking a technically skilled and intellectually curious Software Engineer with experience in designing customer-facing applications, software engineering, and project execution. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Java, Kotlin, SQL, cloud platforms, databases, and application monitoring tools. Familiarity with railroad operations and GIS or location-based systems is highly desirable.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Equivalent experience and education may be considered in lieu of the degree, subject to approval.

• Knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and SQL.

• Basic knowledge of AWS EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudWatch, Docker, ActiveMQ, RDS/PostgreSQL, Firebase, and Sentry.

• Prior experience designing customer-facing applications.

• Experience managing projects and preparing technical documentation, scopes of work, software requirements, and estimates.

• Strong analytical, planning, communication, and independent working skills.

• Intellectual curiosity and a passion for technology.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of React Native and Kotlin.

• Familiarity with React, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript for frontend development.

• Experience with SaaS platforms and tools, including GitHub, GitLab, Sentry, Intercom, Airtable, and Expo.

• Prior working knowledge of railroad operations.

• Experience with GIS or location-based data and systems, including Mapbox and ESRI.

• Knowledge of computer systems architecture and software engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and support customer-facing software applications.

• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support technical and business requirements.

• Work independently while demonstrating strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Run projects and prepare technical documentation, including scopes of work, software requirements, and estimates.

• Work with cloud infrastructure, databases, messaging systems, and application monitoring platforms.

• Support application development using Java, Kotlin, SQL, and relevant frontend technologies.

• Collaborate with teams to maintain reliable and efficient software systems.
