Job Profile Material Handler, Warehousing and Distribution (Support 1)

Please note this is a 12 Month Contract position, Onsite and is for 1 st shift (7am-3:30pm) with Potential Overtime.

Preferred Skills: 

• Experience working in a Biotechnology, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical or Consumer Product Manufacturing environment.

Required Skills:

• 2 years of related experience in a distribution related environment. 
• High School Diploma or equivalent Experience in SAP and Warehouse Management systems 
• Experience operating a forklift, pallet jack, and other material handling equipment

• ·         Able to work in all areas of Distribution (Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing).

Description:

This position is responsible for all material handling activities, such as picking and packing internal or external orders, loading and unloading freight, verifying against the bill of lading or manifest, re-palletizing materials to conform to department SOPs, and maintaining a neat and orderly work area that complies with all cGMPs and good housekeeping practices at all times.

·         30% - Pick/Pack customer orders and manufacturing orders to conform with instructions, regulations, and department SOPs. Unload trucks and palletize all incoming materials and store/deliver to the appropriate area/individual.

·         20% - Visually inspect for accuracy and condition prior to signing receipt documentation. Enter receipt information into the applicable computer system, if applicable.

·         20% - Load freight on carriers in accordance with shipping manifest reports and Bills of Lading.

·         15% - Pick, stage, and deliver components for manufacturing orders based on move requests and/or transfer orders (TOs).

·         10% - Process all materials for scrap when required in accordance with medical and/or hazardous waste regulations, along with receipt, storage, and destruction of returned goods in accordance with the Returned Goods Policy.

·         5% - Other work-related activities/duties as assigned.
