This role is a permanent opportunity and will be ideally based in Brisbane.
Day to day, you'll:
- Lead enterprise finance business partnering to provide strategic advice, challenge and insight that supports informed commercial and investment decisions.
- Drive the organisation's budgeting, forecasting, reserve management and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Oversee enterprise performance management and reporting frameworks that improve accountability and support timely decision-making.
- Partner with Executive leaders to strengthen cost discipline, identify efficiencies and monitor financial benefit realisation.
- Lead the evaluation and prioritisation of business cases to ensure investment decisions are evidence-based and aligned to strategic objectives.
- Oversee portfolio funding, governance and affordability across strategic initiatives and transformation programs.
- Lead financial scenario modelling and analysis to identify risks, opportunities and performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain robust financial controls, governance practices and risk management frameworks.
- Develop and lead a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and commercial curiosity.
- Deliver clear, insightful reporting and recommendations to Executive Committees, Boards and key governance forums.
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
- You hold tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline, alongside a CA or CPA qualification.
- Your experience includes significant executive leadership roles within finance business partnering, financial planning and analysis, or enterprise performance functions.
- You'll have a proven track record leading enterprise budgeting, forecasting and performance management processes within large, complex organisations.
- You're recognised for your commercial acumen and ability to translate complex financial and operational information into meaningful business insights.
- You have demonstrated success partnering with and influencing Executive and Board stakeholders.
- Your experience includes designing and uplifting financial planning, reporting and performance management frameworks.
- You'll bring strong people leadership capability and experience building engaged, inclusive and high-performing teams.
- You're highly skilled in financial analysis, scenario modelling and assessing strategic investment opportunities.
- You possess a strong understanding of financial controls, governance, risk management and regulatory obligations within financial services.
- You'll have experience working within superannuation, wealth management or broader financial services environments.
