Software Engineer

Presence is seeking a remote Software Engineer to build and optimize high-impact marketing websites and digital experiences for small and local businesses. In this role, you will collaborate closely with designers, strategists, and marketers to translate requirements into performant, responsive web experiences using modern technologies. You will implement and maintain features, integrate APIs, optimize for speed and SEO, and support A/B testing and analytics. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain marketing websites and web applications using modern web technologies.
• Collaborate with design, strategy, and marketing teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement responsive, accessible user interfaces optimized for performance and mobile devices.
• Integrate third-party and internal APIs, analytics, and marketing tools into client sites.
• Optimize sites for SEO, page speed, and conversion, supporting A/B testing and experiments.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and refactor code to improve reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies to ensure quality delivery.
• Document technical implementations and support handoffs and ongoing maintenance for client projects.
