Job Description

Job Title: L2 Production Support Specialist with AWS
Location: Knoxville, TN, Columbia SC or Lafayette, LA or Birmingham, AL
Type: Direct Hire

Responsibilities

  • Support and enhance cloud operations across a complex, multi-cloud environment, ensuring highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure.
  • Design, implement, and support cloud solutions in compliance with enterprise governance standards.
  • Monitor production environments, develop governance dashboards, and generate compliance reports.
  • Automate operational tasks using scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and on-call support to maintain platform reliability.
  • Partner with development, infrastructure, and security teams to automate processes and improve observability.
  • Drive continuous operational improvements across AWS and other cloud platforms.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience supporting production environments in AWS.
  • Solid understanding of AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ELB, EBS, SQS, AMIs, and AWS CLI.
  • AWS certification is required for senior positions.
  • Experience implementing cloud governance frameworks, security controls, and compliance monitoring.
  • Ability to build automated dashboards, operational reports, and compliance metrics.
  • Strong scripting skills using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Experience with production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and on-call support.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms such as CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry or similar tools.
  • Experience with AutoSys, RedHood, Apache Airflow, or other job management tools is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
