The Role

• Oversee the comprehensive design of the data platform architecture, ensuring it meets current and future needs.
• Architect and develop a cutting-edge Data Mesh platform, supporting decentralization and data-as-a-product principles.
• Establish and maintain architectural standards, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Design robust data pipelines, including batch, event-driven, and streaming architectures.
• Act as a trusted advisor on data strategy and platform direction, contributing to the data roadmap.
• Partner with domain squads to design robust data products and provide architectural guidance.

What You'll Need

• Proven track record as a Data Solutions Architect or in a similar role.
• Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
• Strong knowledge of data mesh principles, database design, data warehousing concepts, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Expertise in data platform architecture, configuration, and optimization, with a focus on MPP databases like Google BigQuery.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for identifying improvement opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
