Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Verification Engineer II with strong electronics testing and validation experience. This is a lab-heavy engineering role focused on board bring-up, bench testing, circuit debugging, PCB rework, test execution, and analysis of hardware validation data.

The ideal candidate will have practical experience working with both analog and digital electronics, reading schematics and PCB layouts, developing validation plans, and supporting hardware through EVT, DVT, and PVT phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform board bring-up, hardware verification, and bench-level testing.
  • Develop and execute electronics validation and verification plans.
  • Debug analog and digital circuits at the board level.
  • Analyze test results, identify failures, and document root causes.
  • Perform PCB rework and fine-pitch soldering as required.
  • Use laboratory test equipment including:
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Digital multimeters (DMM)
    • LCR meters
    • Other electronic measurement and debugging equipment
  • Develop and maintain DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report) documentation.
  • Support hardware validation activities across EVT, DVT, and PVT stages.
  • Collaborate with electrical, hardware, firmware, manufacturing, and reliability engineering teams.
  • Troubleshoot circuit, component, and board-level issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Analyze test data and prepare clear technical reports.
  • Support test fixture development and hardware test setup when required.
  • Contribute to reliability, environmental, and qualification testing.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in electronics testing, verification, validation, or a related hardware engineering discipline.
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits.
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • Schematics
    • PCB layouts
    • Circuit diagrams
  • Hands-on experience with PCB troubleshooting and rework.
  • Proficiency with fine-pitch soldering and board-level modifications.
  • Hands-on experience using:
    • Oscilloscopes
    • DMMs
    • LCR meters
  • Experience creating or executing DVP&R / Design Verification Plans and Reports.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a laboratory environment and performing hands-on hardware testing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing or developing test fixtures.
  • Experience with Python-based test automation.
  • Familiarity with PCB design tools such as:
    • Altium
    • Cadence
    • KiCad
  • Experience with reliability and environmental testing.
  • Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies.
  • Experience supporting hardware development through EVT/DVT/PVT.
  • Experience with automated data collection and test-result analysis.
