The Role

• Conduct development-accompanying calculations and numerical simulations, focusing on areas like structural mechanics and dynamics.
• Collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary development teams.
• Provide support in generating shock resistance certifications and proofs.
• Ensure the quality of results by proactively clarifying boundary conditions, including material measurements.
• Serve as a key point of contact for both internal and external clients.

What You'll Need

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Physics, or a comparable qualification.
• Professional experience as a Calculation or Simulation Engineer, ideally within the maritime sector.
• Strong expertise in structural mechanics and dynamics, particularly in numerical crash or shock simulations.
• Proficiency with MS Office and advanced user knowledge of Linux, LS-DYNA, ANSA/META, and potentially MATLAB, COMSOL, STAR-CCM+, or Siemens NX.
• Good command of both German and English, written and spoken.
• An analytical, proactive, and independent working style, coupled with strong communication and teamwork skills.
