Engineering Assistant

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Engineering Assistant for a contract position with a Major Telecommunications Company located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

In this role, the Engineering Assistant will provide crucial support to engineers by maintaining complex files, keeping records, preparing schedules, and compiling reports. The ideal candidate will process departmental documents, gather statistical data, and assist engineers as requested. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with utility systems like AldenOne are highly valued.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain complex files, keep records, prepare schedules, and compile/check reports
• Search and investigate information contained in files
• Process departmental documents requiring specific knowledge of functional operations
• Post records including accounting and continuing property records
• Type correspondence and reports from rough drafts
• Assist engineers as requested
• Gather and coordinate associated statistical data for use in departmental or project specific reports

Requirements:

• Proficient in various computer systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
• Experienced with utility pole source system AldenOne and joint use permitting
• High level of initiative and follow-up support capability working with limited supervision

Pay range: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour
