Ready to kick-start your career in HR? This is the role for you.
Talent Guardian is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of an award-winning, family-owned food manufacturer with much-loved, well-known brands on supermarket shelves across the UK. Based just outside Hungerford in the beautiful North Wessex Downs, they re looking for an organised, proactive HR and Training Administrator to join their team.
This is a brand-new opportunity to support their experienced HR lead, who has been with the business for many years, knows it inside out and is incredibly busy. You ll be their right-hand support, taking real ownership of HR and training administration, so it s a fantastic chance to learn from someone with years of experience.
There s genuine room to grow, too. The business is committed to developing the right person and will even consider funding your CIPD qualification, so this could be the first step in a long and rewarding HR career.
What you ll be doing:

  • Supporting recruitment from start to finish: advertising roles, arranging interviews, and preparing offer letters, contracts and onboarding packs
  • Keeping employee records and HR systems accurate and up to date
  • Handling paperwork for new starters, changes and leavers
  • Helping to manage holiday, sickness and absence records
  • Organising training across the site, booking courses, liaising with training providers and keeping training records and matrices spot on
  • Supporting employee meetings, preparing paperwork and taking notes
  • Getting involved in HR projects as you grow in the role
What they re looking for:
  • Previous administration experience
  • A real passion for building a career in HR
  • Brilliant organisation, a sharp eye for detail and the ability to prioritise a busy workload
  • Someone who s independent, takes ownership and can be trusted with confidential information
  • Good IT skills and clear, confident communication
  • Comfortable working with people at every level of the business
Nice to have:
  • CIPD Level 3, or currently studying towards it
  • Experience in FMCG or manufacturing
  • A love of food
What s in it for you:
  • £27,500 salary
  • A genuine first step into HR, with room to progress and grow
  • Potential funding towards your CIPD qualification
  • Learning from an experienced HR professional who ll really value your support
  • Joining a friendly, family-owned business with brands people love
The site is in a rural spot about 3 miles outside Hungerford, so you ll need your own transport.
The client is looking for someone to start immediately if possible, so don t wait. Apply now, or contact Talent Guardian on (phone number removed) for a confidential chat.
