Job Description

PMO Resource Manager
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Contract Type: 6-month contract, hybrid working (2 days on site, 3 days at home)
Daily Rate: £600 to £650 per day

Summary
We are seeking an experienced Resource Manager to establish and embed a robust resource planning process and model for forecasting and tracking actual resource utilisation within a Technology Change Portfolio. The role is critical to addressing current challenges where resource planning is not effectively completed for Technology. You will be responsible for planning and tracking resource requirements across the technology portfolio to ensure successful delivery of projects and programmes. This position requires strong PMO and resource management skills to design, implement, and maintain resource forecasting and tracking frameworks that provide clear visibility and control over resource allocation and utilisation.

The successful candidate will work closely with technology leadership, project and programme managers, and other stakeholders to develop sustainable resource management practices that support delivery excellence and portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement resource planning and tracking processes for the Technology Change Portfolio.
  • Develop forecasting models to predict resource demand and capacity accurately.
  • Monitor and report on actual resource utilisation against forecasts to identify gaps and risks.
  • Collaborate with PMO, project managers, and technology leaders to align resource plans with portfolio priorities.
  • Establish governance and controls around resource management activities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making and optimise resource allocation.
  • Support continuous improvement of resource management practices and tools.

This is a hybrid role so candidates must be able to be onsite in Leeds 2 days per week.
