The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring timely freight movement
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety
• Coordinate container moves and tasks with yard personnel and supervisors
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is required
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred
• Strong commitment to safety and a keen attention to detail
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions and all weather
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including 2nd shift, days, weekends, and holidays
• Basic communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
