Tech Lead – Full Stack / AWS / AI

Location: Iselin, NJ

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead to provide hands-on architecture and engineering leadership across UI, backend, cloud, and AI for an enterprise insurance underwriting platform.

The ideal candidate will combine strong full-stack engineering expertise with AWS architecture, AI/GenAI experience, and the ability to lead distributed engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership across UI, backend, AWS, and AI initiatives.
  • Design scalable and secure application architectures.
  • Lead hands-on development using modern full-stack technologies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, architecture, and business teams.
  • Lead and mentor onsite/offshore engineering teams.
  • Drive technical standards, code quality, architecture decisions, and delivery.
  • Design and integrate AI/LLM capabilities into enterprise applications.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend appropriate solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Technical Lead or Solution Lead capacity.
  • Strong P&C Insurance / Underwriting domain experience.
  • Strong full-stack development experience with React and backend technologies.
  • Strong hands-on AWS architecture and services experience.
  • Hands-on experience with AI, LLM, or Generative AI solutions.
  • Experience leading onsite/offshore engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Agentic AI.
  • Experience with LangChain or similar AI frameworks.
  • AWS certification.
  • Experience designing enterprise-scale AI solutions.
