Job Description

Service Controller - Lead With Impact in a Supportive Team

Due to team changes and continued business demand, we are looking to appoint a Service Controllers to join our Service team.

Location: Thame, Oxfordshire| Department: Service | Full-Time | Salary:  £30,000 – 35,000   | Working hours: Monday-Friday 08:00 –17:00, alternating rota for 16:30 and 17:30 finish

We're looking for an organised, enthusiastic, and proactive Service Controller to join our friendly Service team. No previous Service Controller experience is required. If you're someone who enjoys problem-solving, staying organised, and working with people, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in operations, customer service, planning, logistics, and business coordination while working for a market-leading organisation. The role involves coordinating engineers, supporting customers, and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

What You'll Be Doing

Every day is different, but you can expect to:

  • Schedule and coordinate engineers for planned maintenance and urgent call-outs
  • Act as a key point of contact for customers, technicians, and internal teams
  • Help manage workloads and priorities to ensure excellent customer service
  • Monitor jobs from start to finish and keep customers updated
  • Support the team with administration, reporting, and problem-solving
  • Build relationships across the business and work closely with multiple departments
  • Learn how operational planning impacts business performance and customer satisfaction

  • A recent graduate looking to start a business career
