Project Manager / Civil Engineer

Insite International are currently looking for a Project Manager from a Civil Engineering to work in Farnborough, Guildford.<br />Starts ASAP<br />Work until February 2027<br />10 Hours Per Day, Monday to Friday (some weekend work)<br />£350 - £400 Per Day (Depending on Experience &amp; Qualifications)<br />Duties to include working on a large civils project, on the £1.6Ml Groundworks package.

Overseeing maximum circa 20 workers on the project.

Works due to complete by mid February 2027.<br />• Carry out all site engineering and setting out.<br />• Set out drainage, ducting, foundations, concrete works, roads, kerbs and external works.<br />• Check levels, coordinates, dimensions and construction drawings.<br />• Produce and maintain accurate as-built information.<br />• Manage all site QA, ITPs, inspection records and quality documentation.<br />• Ensure works are completed correctly and in accordance with drawings and specifications.<br />• Manage the day-to-day delivery of the project.<br />• Plan and coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.<br />• Plan upcoming works and forecast site requirements.<br />• Provide input into the project programme and monitor progress against it.<br />• Identify delays, risks and programme issues early and report them.<br />• Monitor site costs and have good commercial awareness.<br />• Assist with variations, additional works, records and commercial information.<br />• Work closely with the QS and commercial team.<br />• Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site operatives.<br />• Liaise directly with the client and attend progress and coordination meetings.<br />• Deal professionally with client queries and site issues.<br />• Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures.<br />• Take responsibility for site health and safety, including RAMS, briefings, inspections and site standards.<br />• Coordinate temporary works where required.<br />• Report progress, costs, issues, risks and requirements back to the Contracts Manager/Project Manager.<br />What we are looking for;<br />• Relevant Engineering qualification.<br />• Strong site engineering and setting out experience.<br />• Experience managing civil engineering and groundworks projects.<br />• SMSTS.<br />• Temporary Works Coordinator qualification.<br />• First Aid at Work qualification.<br />• Strong experience with QA and quality documentation.<br />• Good planning and programme management skills.<br />• Commercial awareness and understanding of costs, variations and project records.<br />• Confident dealing directly with clients.<br />• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.<br />• Confident using total stations, GPS and site engineering equipment.<br />• Able to read and understand drawings, specifications and construction information.<br />• Experience with drainage, reinforced concrete, foundations, ducting, roads and external works
