Presales Engineer

Overview

We are working with an Enterprise Systems Integrator with a strong client base of Public Sector and well-known global/ASX-listed clients. They are a Commvault Solution Provider & Commvault MarketBuilder MSP. We are seeking a Presales Engineer with strong CommVault experience and general infrastructure presales experience to work with enterprise clients, design and deliver secure, scalable, and data-driven solutions involving cyber resilience, data protection, automation, and hybrid-cloud architectures. The role requires turning complex technical challenges into clear business outcomes with a strong CommVault/data protection background at subject-matter-expert level and experience working with sales and customers to understand needs and pitch solutions for infrastructure, cloud, security, data protection and managed services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales to understand customer needs and translate them into compelling technical solutions across infrastructure, cloud, security, data protection and managed services.
• Design, present, and demonstrate CommVault-based data protection and backup architectures.
• Engage with enterprise clients to articulate business value and outcomes.
• Contribute to proposals, RFPs, and solution roadmaps.
• Work with partners and vendors to integrate backup, virtualization, storage, and security technologies.
• Deliver secure, scalable, data-driven solutions involving cyber resilience, automation, and hybrid-cloud architectures.

Qualifications

• Strong CommVault and data protection background (subject-matter expert level).
• Experience in infrastructure presales and working with sales and customers to understand business challenges and requirements.
• Experience with backup and data protection technologies including CommVault.
• Hyper-converged infrastructure and virtualization experience.
• Server and storage technologies.
• Security solutions knowledge.
• Experience with vendors such as CommVault, IBM, NetApp, Nutanix, Dell, VMware, HPE, Fortinet.

On Offer

Salary is flexible, ideally AUD 150,000-175,000 base + super + comms (negotiable higher). The previous presales representative reportedly earned comms above AUD 50,000.
