Overview
We are seeking a Financial Manager with 3+ years of experience to provide non-personal technical, analytical, and project management support in the Point Mugu, CA area.
The ideal candidate will have experience in financial management, budget analysis, project execution tracking, financial systems, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Have 3–10 years of financial management experience.
• Provide support to client leads by tracking project budgets, monitoring execution schedules, and preparing cost/budget analysis reports.
• Utilize ERP, G-Invoicing, MIPRs, and Microsoft Project to support mission planning requirements
• Budget Analysis: Assist in gathering, consolidating, and analyzing financial data to support the formulation, justification, and monitoring of domestic and foreign project budgets.
• Execution Tracking: Perform execution analysis, calculate burn rates, and identify financial variances for review.
• System Reconciliation: Track and reconcile domestic and foreign project funding, obligations, and expenditures utilizing ERP and various Client tools.
• Reporting: Prepare draft financial reports, briefing materials, and decision-support products for Client project leads. Monitor allocation plans for OMN, RDT&E, and APN appropriations across the fiscal year.
• Schedule & Cost Monitoring: Track project status, maintain schedules, and monitor cost baselines. Analyze actual performance data to identify trends or deficiencies against planned goals.
• Strategic Planning Support: Analyze financial trends and draft recommendations or options for client decision-makers regarding spend plans and long-term funding strategies.
• Meeting Support: Provide analytical and administrative support for project milestones, financial deliverables, data calls, and planning meetings, including preparing materials, capturing minutes, and tracking action items.
• Compliance: Perform analytical tasks in accordance with Client business rules, and policies.
• Travel: Approximately 10 weeks of travel may be required to locations including San Diego, CA; Norfolk, VA; Pax River, MD; Melbourne, FL; Japan; and France.

Qualifications
Core Competencies

• Demonstrated financial management experience, including financial analysis of business programs, development of cost estimates, and generation of program status reports.
• Hands-on ERP and CSPT experience in an analyst role.
• Experience with G-Invoicing and MIPRs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including:
  • MS Word
  • MS Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis tools
  • MS Access
  • PowerPoint
  • SharePoint
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, including predecessor/successor linkages and critical path analysis.
• Excellent verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening communication skills for staff, customer, and organizational-level communications.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate a self-starter attitude.

EDUCATION
Degree: BS or BA degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Auditing, or a relevant technical discipline.
Allowable Substitution: An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, or 4 additional years of work experience with a relevant associate degree.
