Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, configure, and support ServiceNow applications and platform capabilities with a strong focus on Discovery, CMDB, CSDM, and ITOM. The ideal candidate will have strong ServiceNow development and scripting expertise, experience with enterprise integrations, and a solid understanding of ITIL processes and ServiceNow platform architecture.

The candidate will work closely with architects, business stakeholders, infrastructure teams, and other technical teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable ServiceNow solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, configure, and support ServiceNow applications and platform capabilities, with a focus on Discovery, CMDB, CSDM, and ITOM.

Implement and maintain ServiceNow Discovery to ensure accurate infrastructure discovery and application dependency mapping.

Configure and administer CMDB governance, including reconciliation rules, identification rules, data quality, and CMDB health dashboards.

Drive CSDM adoption and align CMDB data models with ServiceNow best practices and enterprise architecture standards.

Implement and enhance ITOM capabilities, including Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management.

Develop custom applications, workflows, integrations, and automation solutions using the ServiceNow platform.

Develop and maintain Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Policies, and Flow Designer flows.

Build and maintain integrations using Integration Hub, REST APIs, and SOAP web services.

Configure, troubleshoot, and support MID Servers and associated discovery and integration processes.

Troubleshoot complex ServiceNow platform, Discovery, CMDB, ITOM, scripting, and integration issues.

Collaborate with solution architects, business stakeholders, infrastructure teams, and cross-functional technical teams.

Participate in code reviews, platform upgrades, testing, deployments, and release management.

Ensure development follows ServiceNow best practices, coding standards, security requirements, and maintainability guidelines.

Required Technical Skills

4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.

Strong expertise in:

ServiceNow Discovery

CMDB Administration and Governance

Common Service Data Model (CSDM)

ITOM

Event Management

Strong ServiceNow scripting experience using:

JavaScript

Glide APIs

Hands-on experience with Flow Designer and Integration Hub.

Strong experience developing REST and SOAP integrations.

Knowledge of MID Server configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.

Strong understanding of ITIL processes and ServiceNow platform architecture.

Experience with ServiceNow configuration, customization, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Service Portal and UI Builder.

Experience developing custom ServiceNow applications and scoped applications.

Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise infrastructure, monitoring, identity, and third-party applications.

Knowledge of CMDB data quality, CI relationships, reconciliation, and discovery patterns.

Experience with ServiceNow platform upgrades and release management.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Certifications Preferred

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

Certified Implementation Specialist - Discovery

Certified Implementation Specialist - ITOM

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.

Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
