Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled COBOL Developer to develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in COBOL programming and mainframe technologies, with the ability to analyze business requirements, troubleshoot production issues, and deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using COBOL.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Work with JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and IMS (as applicable).
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Optimize application performance and ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and cross-functional teams.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in COBOL programming.
• Good knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language).
• Experience with CICS.
• Hands-on experience with DB2 and/or VSAM.
• Familiarity with IBM Mainframe environments (z/OS).
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, or Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
