Active Directory & GPO Specialist

Role Summary
A highly skilled Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO) Specialist is required to manage and secure enterprise IT infrastructure. This senior-level role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining identity and access management solutions across Windows environments. The position offers the opportunity to work remotely, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance security and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the organization’s Active Directory environment, ensuring security and optimal performance.
• Design, create, and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to configure endpoints and enforce security policies.
• Utilize Microsoft Entra ID for identity management and access control.
• Use Microsoft Intune for mobile device management and endpoint configuration.
• Develop automation scripts and manage configurations using PowerShell.
• Troubleshoot network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and LDAP to resolve connectivity and performance issues.
• Implement security best practices, managing vulnerabilities, patches, and configurations.
• Document procedures, changes, and configurations adhering to change management standards.
• Collaborate effectively with end-users, management, and IT teams to resolve issues and improve systems.
• Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in identity management, security, and endpoint configuration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience working with Windows operating systems, GPOs, Entra ID, Intune, and PowerShell scripting.
• Proven experience managing enterprise Active Directory environments and troubleshooting issues.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 architectures, deployment, and policy management.
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and manage GPOs for endpoint security and configuration.
• Familiarity with AD structure, user/group management, and security principles.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Publishing Pay Range: $50.00 - $69.00 hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
