We are looking for experienced and caring Health Care Assistants to look after people in their homes.


KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE : at least 1 years of experience in
the role as a Health Care Assistant/Support Worker and also willingness
to undertake further ongoing training including undertaking the Care
Certificate.


Hours of work: Variable according to rota


Reports to: Registered Manager/Care-coordinator


Salary: Excellent Rates.


Training: Mandatory Training and Medication training offered.


Main Duties:



  • Assisting with bodily functions such as:

  • Bathing

  • Washing

  • Hair care

  • Shaving

  • Oral hygiene

  • Feeding

  • Toileting

  • Menstruation

  • Changing of incontinence items

  • Medication

  • Care falling just short of assistance with bodily functions, but
    still involving physical and intimate touching, including activities
    such as helping a person get out of a bath and helping them to get
    dressed or undressed.

  • Non-physical care, such as advice, encouragement and supervision
    relating to the above, such as prompting a person to take a bath and
    supervising them during this.

  • Household duties include:

  • Cleaning

  • emptying commodes

  • laundry

  • food preparation

  • reading, writing

  • Complete all required records and documents legibly, accurately, factually and at the appropriate time.

  • Comply with health and safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

  • Attend quarterly, or as required, supervision session with line manager.

  • Attend annual appraisal of progress with line manager.

  • Attend such training courses as are arranged or may be required.

  • Undertake any other duties which may reasonably be required by a
    senior member of staff, or in the interests of business efficiency, or
    as required by legislation, regulations or contract requirements.

  • Conduct yourself at all times in ways that will enable the division to meet its aims and objectives and fulfill its obligations.
