Arete Wealth Planning, an established financial planning practice in Folsom, California, is seeking an outgoing, organized, and creative Client Service & Marketing Specialist to join our team.

We are a close-knit financial planning office that values strong relationships, personalized service, and creating meaningful experiences for our clients.

We're looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people, coordinating events, bringing creative ideas to life, and using technology and data to keep things organized.

This is a unique opportunity to combine client service, marketing, event planning, and relationship management in a professional, collaborative environment.

Prior financial services experience is not required. We're more interested in finding someone with the right personality, initiative, communication skills, and enthusiasm for creating exceptional client experiences.

What You'll Do

Client Experience & Relationship Management

• Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for clients, visitors, and incoming calls.
• Help create a warm, professional, and memorable experience for every client.
• Coordinate client appreciation initiatives, personalized gifts, and recognition programs.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships through thoughtful outreach and engagement.
• Maintain accurate client information and assist with client segmentation initiatives.

Marketing & Social Media

• Coordinate and maintain a consistent social media presence using approved content and marketing resources.
• Create and schedule engaging social media posts in accordance with financial services compliance requirements.
• Assist with marketing campaigns, communications, and client engagement initiatives.
• Research, order, and manage branded promotional materials and client gifts.
• Bring creative ideas to the team to enhance client communication and engagement.

Event Planning & Coordination

• Assist with planning and executing client appreciation events, educational gatherings, and other practice activities.
• Coordinate event logistics, invitations, RSVPs, vendors, and follow-up communications.
• Help ensure events are organized, welcoming, and professionally executed.
• Track event participation and engagement to evaluate effectiveness.

CRM, Reporting & Organization

• Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) software to organize information, track activities, and support client engagement.
• Generate reports, maintain dashboards, and assist with client segmentation.
• Monitor engagement initiatives and provide meaningful updates to the team.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and organization.
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Office & Team Support

• Participate in front desk coverage and assist with incoming mail and general office coordination.
• Collaborate with team members to support day-to-day operations.
• Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and proactively identify opportunities to improve the client experience.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A friendly, outgoing, and professional personality.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfort working with technology, spreadsheets, and digital platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently.
• A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Ability to work full-time in our Folsom office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in marketing, client service, banking, or another professional service environment.
• Familiarity with CRM software, reporting, or dashboard creation.
• Experience managing social media accounts or creating digital content.
• Experience coordinating events, client appreciation programs, or marketing initiatives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Familiarity with Canva or similar content creation tools.

Recent college graduates with relevant education, internships, or demonstrated skills are encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Schedule

Compensation: $26–$32 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
