Senior Automation Architect | W2 Only Location: Woodlawn, MD (Onsite)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Automation Architect to design, develop, and maintain enterprise test automation frameworks, automation grids, and test scripts. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Java, Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, REST API testing, and Parasoft, along with experience providing technical leadership, mentoring team members, and improving software quality through automation best practices.

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree with 5+ years, Bachelor's degree with 7+ years, or 13+ years of relevant experience.
Strong software development experience using Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python, preferably Java.
In-depth knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Hands-on experience developing customized test automation frameworks using Selenium.
Experience creating and maintaining test scripts for features, test scenarios, and step definitions using Cucumber and Gherkin.
Strong experience with JUnit/TestNG and Maven for executing automated test suites.
Experience setting up and maintaining Selenium Grid for parallel and cross-platform testing.
Hands-on experience with REST API testing using REST Assured or Java-based libraries.
Experience with Parasoft for functional testing, API testing, and environment virtualization.
Experience configuring and executing automated regression suites using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and/or Selenium Grid.
Knowledge of REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, and web services testing.
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, DB2, or Oracle, including SQL queries to validate test results.
Experience creating manual test scripts, executing tests, and documenting defects and test results.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
Ability to provide technical guidance, mentor team members, and support automation framework adoption across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or UiPath.
Experience with Git, Stash, and pull request workflows.
Familiarity with enterprise development tools such as VersionOne, Confluence, SonarQube, and Checkmarx.
Experience with AWS, Docker, or similar cloud technologies.
Exposure to AI-assisted test automation, self-healing automation frameworks, and synthetic test data generation.
Experience configuring and executing automation tests in containers.
Previous experience serving as a Scrum Master on an Agile software development project
