Sr. Data Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure for our healthcare client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including switches, routers, and Cisco IOS XE environments.
Responsibilities
-Troubleshoot and resolve escalated network incidents and service requests.
Configure, maintain, and support Cisco switches, routers, and wireless infrastructure.

-60% operations, 40% project based.
-Perform network monitoring, analysis, and performance optimization.
-Support routing and switching technologies including VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and STP.
-Implement and maintain network security standards, ACLs, and access controls.
Participate in network upgrades, maintenance activities, and change management processes.
-Create and maintain network documentation and standard operating procedures.
-Collaborate with Tier 1 support, engineering teams, and vendors to resolve complex issues.
Required Qualifications
-3+ years of network engineering or network support experience.

-Experience is the healthcare field (hospitals, doctors offices, clinics, etc.)
-Hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment and Cisco IOS XE.
-Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DHCP, and DNS.
-Experience troubleshooting enterprise network environments.
-Familiarity with network monitoring and ticketing systems.
-Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications

-CCNA or equivalent networking certification.
-Experience with Cisco Catalyst switches, ISR/ASR routers, and wireless technologies.
-Exposure to network automation tools such as Python or Ansible.
-Experience supporting multi-site enterprise environments.
