We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join the engineering team of a leading technology services organisation on a 12-month hybrid contract. You will own IT operations and infrastructure reliability, keeping software systems scalable, reliable and efficient. A minimum of 2 days per week on-site is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and manage SLIs and SLOs, with meaningful alerts and dashboards
• Take part in incident response and root-cause analysis, and deliver permanent fixes
• Automate manual operational work, run books and recovery procedures
• Implement monitoring, logging, metrics and telemetry
• Improve availability, scalability, resilience, security and performance
• Support continuous delivery through reliable deployment and rollback practices
• Work with application, cloud, platform, security and operations teams on production readiness
• Guide engineering teams in adopting consistent reliability practice

What You Will Ideally Bring:

• Coding in Python, Java or Bash
• GCP cloud computing
• Linux/Unix systems
• Networking protocols
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience building collaborative relationships with engineering, operations, security and business stakeholders
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication, ownership and teamwork
• A keen learning attitude

Contract Details

• Duration: 12 months
• Day Rate: £475-500 per day
• Determination: Inside IR35
• Location: Hybrid, Multiple locations in UK - 2 days per week
