L7 Construction Inc. is seeking a Safety Coordinator. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining a safe, compliant, and productive work environment across L7's Central Florida project sites. This position will travel to various job sites to conduct safety inspections, identify and address potential hazards, ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), assist with incident and accident investigations, and maintain accurate safety documentation.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards, excellent communication and interpersonal skills to the office and field, makes sound judgement calls, and has a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and excellence.

  • Travel regularly to construction/project sites throughout Central Florida to monitor safety practices and compliance.
  • Conduct routine and scheduled job site safety inspections and identify potential hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure employees and subcontractors properly utilize required PPE and follow established safety procedures.
  • Assist with incident, accident, and near miss investigations, including documentation and follow-up corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate safety logs, inspection reports, incident records, training records, and other required safety documentation.
  • Assist with coordinating safety related documentation and ensuring records are complete, accurate, and up to date.
  • Assist with new hire safety orientation and training, including communicating company safety policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Support ongoing employee safety training and reinforce safe work practices in the field.
  • Monitor job sites for compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and applicable safety standards.
  • Identify unsafe behaviors, conditions, and practices and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Communicate safety concerns and recommendations clearly to project management, supervisors, and field personnel.
  • Follow up on identified hazards and corrective actions to ensure they are properly addressed.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and encourage employees to take an active role in workplace safety.
  • Assist management with implementing and maintaining safety programs and procedures.
  • Maintain professional relationships with employees, supervisors, project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay informed regarding applicable OSHA regulations, safety requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Exercise good judgment and make timely, practical decisions regarding safety concerns in the field.
  • Perform other safety-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety requirements, and compliance standards.
    • Previous experience in construction, or a related safety role preferred.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
    • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
    • Commitment to high standards, safety excellence, and continuous improvement.
    • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
    • Ability and willingness to travel between multiple project sites throughout Central Florida.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
    • Ability to work outdoors and in varying job site conditions.
