Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager - Textile Fiber to drive sales growth and develop strong commercial relationships with textile manufacturers, spinning mills, fabric mills, converters, apparel manufacturers, brands, and industrial textile customers. This role is responsible for developing new business, managing existing customer accounts, identifying market opportunities, preparing quotations, negotiating pricing and contracts, and achieving sales and profitability targets. The ideal candidate has strong experience in the textile fiber industry, excellent customer relationship and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue, volume, margin, and profitability targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with textile mills, spinning mills, yarn manufacturers, converters, apparel manufacturers, brands, and other strategic customers.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and expand the company's customer base.
  • Manage existing customer accounts and increase sales through cross-selling, product expansion, and new applications.
  • Lead customer RFQs, pricing, quotations, commercial proposals, and negotiations.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, customer demand, and raw material price trends.
  • Develop pricing strategies that balance customer requirements with company profitability.
  • Coordinate with Technical, R&D, Production, Quality, Logistics, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to meet customer requirements.
  • Support product development, sampling, testing, approvals, and commercialization of new textile fiber products.
  • Address customer complaints, quality concerns, delivery issues, and other commercial matters in a timely manner.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, pipeline reports, account plans, and management presentations.
  • Track sales performance, customer profitability, order volumes, pricing, and margins.
  • Negotiate annual contracts, supply agreements, price adjustments, and commercial terms.
  • Participate in textile trade shows, customer visits, industry conferences, and market development activities.
  • Develop long-term customer partnerships and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to visit customers, mills, manufacturing facilities, and industry events as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in textile fiber sales, textile sales, account management, or business development.
  • Strong experience selling to textile mills, spinning mills, yarn manufacturers, converters, apparel manufacturers, brands, or industrial textile companies.
  • Knowledge of textile fibers, yarns, and textile manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with polyester, nylon, polypropylene, acrylic, viscose/rayon, recycled fibers, specialty fibers, natural fibers, or other textile materials is preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business.
  • Strong experience with RFQs, quotations, pricing, contract negotiations, and customer agreements.
  • Strong understanding of sales margins, profitability, market pricing, and commercial strategy.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP, CRM, or other ERP systems is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
