The Production Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining manufacturing equipment used in the production and packaging of food products. This role ensures products are produced safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality, food safety, and production standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (other duties assigned as needed):

• Operate production and packaging equipment according to established procedures and safety standards.
• Monitor equipment performance and make minor adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
• Perform equipment setup, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting as needed.
• Inspect products to verify quality specifications and report any deviations.
• Follow all food safety, GMP, HACCP, and sanitation requirements.
• Accurately record production data, quality checks, and downtime information.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist with material handling, ingredient preparation, and packaging activities.
• Identify and communicate equipment or production issues to supervisors and maintenance personnel.
• Support production targets while minimizing product waste and downtime.
• Participate in continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the production facility
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds at a time
• Ability to work in various environments including cold environments for extended periods
• Use of protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection
