Job Description

Water Hygiene Engineer Water Hygiene Engineer. A Berkeley, Gloucestershire based water hygiene risk management firm are looking to recruit a Water Hygiene Engineer and a Water Hygiene Technician to join the team. The Water Hygiene Engineer role will be responsible for conducting the following technical tasks, but will not be limited to:

Temperature Monitoring, Sampling &amp; Inspection of Hot and Cold-Water Systems<br />Cleaning and Disinfection of Hot and Cold-Water Systems<br />Servicing and failsafe testing of Thermostatic Mixing Valves<br />Clean and descale of shower heads<br />CWST inspections<br />Closed System Analysis and interpretation<br />Cooling Tower/Steam Boiler/Secondary Disinfection Analysis<br />Remedial Works - installation of equipment, re-configuring system layouts, replacing outdated equipment, more extensive cleaning and disinfection<br />Complete onsite checks and inspections as per ACoP L8 &amp; HSG 274 Part 2 Guidance<br />Internal Calorifier inspections<br />Support Account Managers on project scope and quotations etc The Water Hygiene Engineer responsibilities include:

Carry out tasks allocated to you in accordance with company procedures/method statements<br />Adhering to all Health and Safety procedures<br />Reporting any risk to health identified onsite and report back to the Account Manager<br />At all times adhere to the clients specific Health and Safety/Safe Working practices.<br />Ensure all equipment used is safe and fit for purpose<br />Ensuring company vehicles are kept clean and tidy and equipment stored safely.<br />Ensure all work is completed in compliance with current legislation and documented<br />Complete onsite work activities as scheduled in your diary<br />Complete allocated jobs within the agreed timescales.<br />Complete all necessary documentation accurately and submit<br />Completion of Technical Service Reports and submission on day of completion<br />Organised with expenses and paperwork.<br />Photographic evidence and clear labelling of assets where and when required<br />Identifying onsite opportunities and report back to associated Account Manager to action<br />Plan for tasks - ensure you have the correct equipment to complete the job required<br />Mentor new staff, lead by example<br />Take the lead on technical task when working in a team<br />Provide clients with clear, informative, and detailed reports within timescales required The Water Hygiene Engineer will need:

Full UK driving license, 25 years of age or over (Company insurance stipulates)<br />City and Guilds Level 2 in plumbing or equivalent<br />Minimum 2-year experience of water systems<br />Experience in a customer facing role<br />Competent in IT - Able to use phone/tablet to record information, take photos etc<br />Attention to detail<br />Competent in working independently<br />Flexible approach The Water Hygiene Engineer salary is £28-32k, the Technician is £22-28k DOE, + van (business miles only) Proactive People is an employment business
