Scope of the Role
This Mechanical Design Engineer will turn strong product concepts into manufacture-ready engineering output. You will sit close to design, supply chain, and manufacturing, helping the business deliver a key connected product with more rigour and speed.

• Translate concepts into production-ready mechanical designs and engineering specifications
• Lead DFM decisions across housings, materials, tooling, and manufacturing constraints
• Own CAD models and drawings in Siemens NX to manufacturing standard
• Work with China-based manufacturing partners to resolve build and quality issues
• Support prototyping, validation, and technical documentation across development stages

Key Skills and Experience Required

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or Design Engineering
• Thorough experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, Product Design Engineer, or Design Engineer
• Proven experience taking products from concept through tooling into manufacture
• Strong DFM knowledge across injection moulding, plastics, and manufacturing processes
• Experience integrating electronics mechanically, including PCB mounting, wiring, and thermal considerations
