Location: Buffalo, NY Salary: $40.00 USD Hourly - $45.00 USD Hourly Description:
Business Systems Analyst IV (IAM / Database Engineering Support)

• Location: Buffalo, NY (Seneca One)

• Schedule: Hybrid, typically 4 days onsite per week

• Duration: 12-month contract

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with IAM and engineering teams to support ongoing project initiatives

• Own and maintain project documentation, process documentation, and governance artifacts

• Support SDLC activities including requirements tracking, workflow documentation, and release support

• Assist with change management processes and project coordination activities

• Analyze existing and future-state workflows and identify process improvement opportunities

• Perform data analysis and research related to engineering initiatives and project spikes

• Collaborate with governance teams to ensure processes and deliverables meet organizational controls and compliance requirements

• Create status updates and project reporting for leadership and stakeholder groups

• Work within Jira and ServiceNow to manage project work and track progress

• Support database-focused initiatives by gathering information, documenting processes, and coordinating efforts across teams

Required Qualifications

Business Analysis

• Strong Business Systems Analyst experience supporting technical and engineering teams

• Experience documenting workflows, business processes, and technical requirements

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Technical Domain Knowledge

• Familiarity with database environments and terminology

• Understanding of concepts related to:

• SQL Server

• Oracle

• Cassandra

• PostgreSQL

• MongoDB

• Cloud-hosted database platforms

IAM Knowledge

Exposure to Identity & Access Management concepts such as:

• SailPoint

• Active Directory

• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

• Identity Governance & Administration (IGA)

• User provisioning and entitlement management

Preferred Qualifications

• Financial services or banking experience

• ServiceNow experience

• Experience supporting governance, risk, compliance, or controlled environments

• Familiarity with GitLab or similar code repository platforms

• Experience with workflow mapping tools such as Miro, Visio, or Lucidchart

Tools & Technologies

• Jira (highly preferred)

• ServiceNow

• Miro or workflow-mapping tools

• Microsoft Office Suite

• Microsoft Teams

• GitLab (nice-to-have)
