Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing organisation based in Newcastle who are looking for a talented and analytically minded Graduate Data Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a genuine graduate role for someone who is passionate about data and wants to use it to drive real business decisions. You will be working within a data-focused team, turning complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that shape strategy across the organisation.

The Organisation

A well-established and growing business based in Newcastle that takes a data-driven approach to everything it does. They are investing in their analytics capability and are looking for a graduate who can grow with them — someone who brings technical ability, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine desire to make data work harder.

The Role

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting, cleaning, and processing large datasets from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify trends, patterns, and business insights
  • Building and maintaining dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent
  • Supporting senior analysts and stakeholders with ad hoc data requests and deep-dive analysis
  • Presenting findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of data processes, pipelines, and governance
  • Working with SQL, Python, or R to manipulate and analyse data (training and development provided)

What We Are Looking For

A degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related numerate discipline. You will be analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large and complex datasets. Strong Excel skills are essential. Experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, or Tableau is highly desirable. The ability to communicate data insights clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders is equally important.

This organisation is recruiting directly through Consula, their recruitment partner.
