Systems Engineer L6 with Security Clearance

Systems Engineer L6 Jovian Concepts, LLC is looking to hire a System Engineer Level 6 for a great opportunity in the Annapolis Junction area.  A current and active TS/SCI Clearance with a MD polygraph is required. No CCA's will be accepted at this time.

Description: Will be responsible for the documentation of all phases of the design, implementation, and maintenance for the deployment of new systems or upgrading current systems to FS sites (e.g. drafting preliminary design reviews, mission transition plans). The Level 6 System Engineer shall possess the following key capabilities:

• Deep understanding of multiple communications technologies, virtualization, systems architecture, and infrastructure for IT systems and SIGINT platforms.
• Proficient in designing, interpreting, and modifying System and Network Engineering Drawings (Visio, Adobe)
• Expertise in system and network administration across diverse platforms, including Linux and Windows environments.
• Extensive experience in network and data processing system integration, hardware and software configuration, deployment, and sustainment.
• Understanding/experience in Cisco networking, including routers, switches, and security protocols.
• Skilled in network and data processing system integration, including rack and stack installation, cabling, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of cloud computing concepts and best practices.
• The ability to create detailed system documentation and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (JIRA and Confluence).
• Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Sharepoint.  Requirements A current and active TS/SCI Clearance with a MD polygraph is required. No CCA's will be accepted at this time. Desired Experience in the areas below:
• Experience with Hyper Converged Infrastructure: Rancher/Harvester, Nutanix, Cisco Hyperflex, Azure Stack HCI, etc.
• Experience with Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, Podman
• Config Management: Ansible, SaltStack
• Code Deployment: GitLab
• Monitoring: Nagios, Zabbix, ELKStack
• Backups: Runbrik
• Ticketing/Documentation: Jira/Confluence
• Compliance Experience: Latte'Art, Biscotti
• Cloud: AWS or other experience
• Experience migrating from Bare-Metal to the cloud
• Experience designing large scale environments for customers Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience OR
• A High School Diploma or GED plus twenty-four (24) years of general system engineering experience (any Process Area). OR
• A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience OR
• A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus sixteen (16) years of systems engineering experience.

Note 1 – Examples of qualified engineering fields include: Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management. Similar or comparable degrees will be acceptable. Note 2 - Examples of related disciplines include: Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, and Physics.
