Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) with Security Clearance

Shadowgate Partners is recruiting an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) for a client that has provided SIGINT and specialized communications systems to the Intelligence Community for more than 40 years. The ISSE owns the ICD 503 RMF process for multiple information systems and guides development teams through accreditation and continuous monitoring. You’ll work with the ISSM, the Program Manager, and an engineering team that runs hundreds of Linux systems on virtual and bare-metal hardware. What you’ll do:

• Own ICD 503 RMF for multiple systems, including patching, scans, reports, documentation, POA&Ms and audit log reviews
• Develop and review A&A documentation, including SSPs, security control assessments, and contingency, configuration management and incident response plans
• Evaluate security architectures and designs against compliance requirements
• Provide continuous monitoring with tools such as Nessus, Nmap and Rapid7 Required - 10+ years of relevant experience
• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
• Security+ CE or higher (e.g., CISSP)
• Significant ICD 503 RMF and A&A/ATO experience
• Current, professional, hands-on Linux experience, close to system administrator level
• IA/InfoSec experience with Intelligence Community customers Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field
• Prior experience supporting the NRO
• Exposure to cloud, Kubernetes, Docker and Ansible
• Experience with NIST SP 800-37 and CNSS publications Benefits - 25% employer 401(k) contribution, fully vested on day one. On a $200K base salary, the company puts $50K into your 401(k).
