Location: Hybrid New Jersey OR North Carolina
Onsite Requirement: 1 week per month
Duration: 9 months with possible extension

Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior SAP S/4HANA Technical Consultant with strong experience in enterprise job scheduling, batch processing, workload automation, and SAP S/4HANA transformation programs. The consultant will be responsible for designing, migrating, coordinating, and optimizing batch scheduling processes across SAP and non-SAP systems.
Responsibilities
  • Lead job scheduling and batch processing activities within SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
  • Design and manage SAP background jobs, scheduling dependencies, calendars, job sequences, and execution windows.
  • Coordinate job dependencies across SAP and non-SAP applications.
  • Support migration of legacy scheduling frameworks into the SAP S/4HANA environment.
  • Work with business, functional, technical, infrastructure, and operations teams to define and implement batch schedules.
  • Manage job sequencing and scheduling across multiple regions and time zones.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, restart, recovery, and error-handling processes.
  • Automate job dependencies and workflow orchestration where possible.
  • Troubleshoot failed jobs, scheduling conflicts, dependency issues, and batch-processing problems.
  • Define scheduling standards, operational procedures, runbooks, and best practices.
  • Support testing, cutover, go-live, and post-production stabilization.
  • Ensure batch jobs meet business processing windows, performance requirements, and operational SLAs.
Required Skills
  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise job scheduling, batch processing, workload automation, or related SAP technical areas.
  • Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation programs.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP background processing and job scheduling.
  • Experience with SAP Job Scheduling Service, SAP Central Job Scheduling, or similar SAP scheduling capabilities.
  • Strong experience with enterprise scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, Tidal, or equivalent.
  • Experience migrating legacy batch scheduling solutions to SAP S/4HANA.
  • Strong understanding of job dependencies, predecessor/successor relationships, calendars, triggers, and batch windows.
  • Experience coordinating jobs across SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Experience with SAP BTP Job Scheduling Service and integrations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.
  • Ability to create technical documentation, scheduling standards, process flows, and operational runbooks.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • SAP S/4HANA Fashion or Retail experience.
  • Experience supporting large-scale global SAP environments.
  • Experience coordinating batch processing across multiple regions and time zones.
  • Knowledge of SAP interfaces, IDocs, APIs, file-based integrations, and middleware.
  • Experience with monitoring and automation frameworks for enterprise batch operations.
