Staff Accountant I

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Staff Accountant I for a contract assignment with one of our premier Insurance Services clients in Meredith, IA .
Responsibilities :

• Support commissions, revenue, and cash application activities
• External communication via email with clients and insurance carriers
• Assist with policy builds
• Work within Oracle to research and resolve overpayments and underpayments
• Identify and resolve payment discrepancies
• Accuracy and attention to detail are important due to interaction with client-facing teams
• Looking for someone who is dependable and comfortable working within a team environment
• Team currently consists of 9 individuals, including the manager
• The team is building out a cash application system as part of the transition to FTE

Required Skills :

• College degree or up to 4 years of related work experience preferred
• 2-4 years of relevant experience
• Looking for someone with cash application experience who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable resolving discrepancies and communicating externally with clients and insurance carriers.
