Location: West Bromwich
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (paid hourly) + Overtime After 40 Hours
Contract: Permanent | Full Time
Shifts: Rotating Mornings, Afternoons & Nights

Due to continued investment and expansion, they are seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment, solving technical challenges, and playing a vital role in keeping manufacturing operations running efficiently.
The RoleAs a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a variety of packaging production machinery and equipment. You'll work as part of a proactive engineering team, ensuring maximum machine availability while supporting continuous improvement projects across the site.

The RoleAs a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a variety of packaging production machinery and equipment. You'll work as part of a proactive engineering team, ensuring maximum machine availability while supporting continuous improvement projects across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on packaging and production machinery.
- Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
- Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor and automated production systems.
- Support machinery installations, upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
- Work closely with production teams to maximise efficiency and output.
- Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in line with company procedures.
- Contribute to improving reliability, performance and overall plant efficiency.
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing, packaging, FMCG, plastics, food, recycling or production environment.
- Strong fault-finding skills across both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and automated machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- A proactive and hands-on approach to maintenance and problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
- Engineering qualifications (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND or equivalent) are desirable.
- Competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (paid hourly).
