Job Title:Java Full Stack Developer - AWS Cloud Migration
Location: Reston, VA Hybrid (onsite once every two weeks)
Contract: Short-Term Contract
Interview: 1 Round In-Person
Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to support a new AWS application cloud migration initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong backend Java development experience along with expertise in Spring, microservices, web services, databases, messaging, and AWS Cloud.
Hands-on experience participating in an actual application migration to AWS is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to the migration of existing applications to AWS Cloud.
Design, develop, and maintain backend Java applications.
Develop and integrate RESTful web services and microservices.
Work extensively with Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
Work with databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL.
Support application integrations using IBM MQ and other messaging technologies.
Collaborate with architects, developers, and DevOps teams throughout the migration.
Participate in technical design, code reviews, troubleshooting, testing, and application modernization.
Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, security, and reliability requirements.

Required Qualifications

Strong hands-on Java development experience, with a focus on backend development.
Strong Spring Framework / Spring Boot experience.
Must have experience with web services and microservices.
Strong backend application architecture and development background.
Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL databases.
Hands-on AWS Cloud experience.
Experience with cloud/application migration projects, preferably AWS.
Experience with IBM MQ or strong understanding of messaging architecture.
Strong understanding of enterprise application integration and distributed systems.

Preferred:

AWS certification.
Experience with Amazon SQS or other messaging platforms.
Experience with application modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
