Systems Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Systems Analyst to join our technology team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business objectives and technical implementation by analyzing operational procedures, evaluating user requirements, and designing efficient, scalable computer systems. You will play a pivotal role in identifying alternative technical solutions, conducting cost/benefit analyses, and ensuring alignment with modern enterprise architecture standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and evaluate operational procedures and user requirements to streamline business processes, automate processing, and improve existing computer systems.

• Conduct detailed cost/benefit analyses of proposed systems and alternative solutions to drive maximum business value and technical efficiency.

• Identify emerging technologies and assess their potential applicability to solve existing business challenges or enhance system performance.

• Translate complex user needs into actionable, detailed descriptions of program functions, technical specifications, and development steps for engineering teams.

• Define and document comprehensive input and output requirements, including data input forms, data summarization techniques, and reporting formats.

• Create and maintain thorough system design and architectural documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

• Apply knowledge of IT industry trends, market directions, and enterprise architecture concepts (across infrastructure, applications, data, and organizational structure) to project initiatives.

• Ensure solutions align with global, regional, and local software architecture standards and information management methodologies.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and developers to elicit requirements and drive successful solution delivery.

• Motivate team members and leverage strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and elicit high-quality work output.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role focusing on system automation and process improvement.

• Requirements & Design: 5+ years of experience writing detailed user specifications, functional requirements, and technical design documents for software development.

• Cost/Benefit Analysis: 5+ years of hands-on experience performing cost/benefit analyses of IT systems and technical alternatives.

• Data & Reporting: 5+ years of experience defining input/output requirements, data summarization models, and custom report designs.

• Analytical Ability: Superior logical reasoning, analytical troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Communication: Highly developed oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Interpersonal & Leadership: Strong ability to work collaboratively, manage stakeholder expectations, and motivate team output.

• Industry & Architecture Knowledge: Solid understanding of current Information Technology industry trends, architectural frameworks, and infrastructure concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with enterprise information architecture concepts and structured information management methodologies.

• Working knowledge of emerging software technologies, regional software architecture patterns, and cloud/infrastructure components.
