Job Description

We are seeking a Java Full Stack Developer - Spring Boot / Core Java / Fraud Technology to join our dynamic Fraud Technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Spring Boot, Core Java, RESTful microservices, SQL/NoSQL, messaging, and CI/CD and a proven ability to deliver scalable services, solve production issues, and collaborate across business and technology teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot.


• Implement REST/SOAP APIs and integrate with internal and external services.


• Build robust data access layers using JPA/Hibernate or MyBatis and write efficient SQL.


• Develop and maintain event-driven integrations using Kafka or MQ.


• Apply TDD practices with JUnit and Mockito and maintain CI pipelines with Maven-based builds.


• Deploy and support applications on Red Hat OpenShift in a hybrid environment.


• Collaborate with business partners to refine requirements and deliver secure, scalable solutions.


• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis with clear documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6-8 years of hands-on Java/J2EE and object-oriented design and programming experience, preferably in financial services.


• Spring ecosystem experience, including Spring Boot and preferably Spring Batch or Spring Integration.


• ORM/persistence with JPA/Hibernate or iBatis/MyBatis and strong SQL with at least one RDBMS such as Oracle, Sybase, or SQL Server.


• Service design with SOA, REST/SOAP, CXF, JAX-WS/JAX-RS, JSON, and XML.


• Messaging with Kafka or MQ and familiarity with event-driven patterns.


• Source control proficiency with Bitbucket, Subversion, Perforce, or similar.


• Maven, TDD, CI, JUnit, and Mockito proficiency; IDE experience with Eclipse, RAD, or similar.


• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Agile/iterative SDLC practices.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Cassandra or Hadoop.


• JavaScript experience for front-end integration.

Work Arrangement & Hiring Process

• Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week in Newark, DE. Onsite from day 1.


• Start date targeted for November.


• Interview process includes 1-2 rounds. Video is required. An in-person round may be required.


• Glider assessment for ID verification may be required.


• This role is a potential contract-to-hire. Candidates must not require sponsorship now or in the future.
