Location: Tallahassee, FL 32301

Working Model: Hybrid – The candidate must live in Florida and be available to work in Tallahassee, Florida if required.

Job Description:

Background:

  • The Department is committed to providing high quality education services to all Florida students and requires IT Staff Augmentation services to assist the Department and Technology staff in meeting that goal.

Minimum Qualifications – The Department is seeking a Systems Administrator professional, with the following minimum qualifications (these qualifications must be clearly stated on the resume and verifiable via reference checks):

  • Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Related work experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of IT work experience in systems administration, enterprise platform administration, IT service management (ITSM) platforms, workflow automation technologies, or enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working across multiple IT and business functions, including security, compliance, service delivery, business process automation, and application support.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with SQL, data management, reporting, system integrations, and data exchange technologies.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience defining procedures for monitoring, evaluating, diagnosing, and establishing work plans to resolve platform and system issues.
  • Minimum 3 years of troubleshooting complex hardware, software, network, identity management, platform administration, and application integration issues.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects as a project team member, project leader, and mentor to junior technical staff.
  • Experience administering, configuring, maintaining, and securing enterprise ServiceNow environments, including ITSM and related platform applications.
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow administration, user and role management, workflow configuration, catalog management, incident/problem/change management processes, and platform governance.
  • Experience managing platform upgrades, patches, releases, configuration migrations, and environment maintenance activities.
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications using REST APIs, web services, JSON, CSV/XML data loads, automation tools, and secure data exchange processes.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management concepts, including SAML, Single Sign-On (SSO), authentication, authorization, role-based access controls, and user lifecycle management.
  • Experience monitoring platform health, system performance, integrations, usage trends, and operational metrics to ensure availability and reliability.

Deliverables/Tasks – The Systems Administrator, Advanced (ServiceNow) key deliverables include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Administer and maintain the enterprise ServiceNow platform and associated modules.
  • Manage platform configuration, system settings, forms, workflows, business rules, notifications, service catalogs, and knowledge management components.
  • Administer user provisioning, role assignments, group management, security controls, and access governance.
  • Monitor and maintain overall platform health, performance, availability, and operational stability.
  • Perform platform upgrades, patches, releases, configuration migrations, and post-upgrade validation activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform, workflow, integration, authentication, and user access issues.
  • Develop, support, and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise applications using APIs, web services, and automated data exchange processes.
  • Configure and maintain incident, problem, change, request, and service management processes within the platform.
  • Monitor integration performance and resolve data synchronization and interface issues.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, metrics, and operational monitoring solutions.
  • Document system configurations, administrative procedures, standards, and support processes.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and support personnel to implement enhancements and resolve operational issues.
  • Ensure platform compliance with security, governance, audit, and organizational standards.
  • Identify opportunities for platform optimization, automation, service improvement, and operational efficiency.
