Our client seeks a senior BI and data engineering professional for a 6-month contract-to-hire engagement. The role focuses on building and enhancing data marts, developing Power BI dashboards, and designing robust ETL solutions across SQL Server and SSIS. The position supports growing project volume and new team initiatives, partnering closely with business stakeholders to deliver reporting enhancements in a regulated-adjacent environment. Experience with data warehousing, stored procedures, and data quality practices will be essential.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $58.00 to $63.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Build and enhance data marts.
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Design and support ETL processes using SSIS and related tools.
• Develop SQL code and stored procedures.
• Integrate and cleanse data from multiple source systems.
• Support backend data warehouse development and reporting initiatives.
• Partner with the business on reporting enhancements and new dashboard requests.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in BI, data engineering, or data warehousing.
• Advanced proficiency with SQL Server, SSIS, Power BI, stored procedures, and ETL development.
• Hands-on experience with data integration and data cleansing.
• Familiarity with Copilot or AI-assisted development tools.
• Jira experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in FDA-regulated environments such as Life Sciences or Biotech is a strong plus.
• Ability to work in a hybrid schedule with three days onsite.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
