The Role

• Operate heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to safely load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to effectively position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Utilize specialized equipment to stack, move, and organize containers according to operational needs.
• Conduct pre- and post-use inspections of equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage container moves and daily tasks.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Open availability required, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment or in logistics is preferred but not strictly required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background verification, physical, and drug screening.
