Service Alarm Technician | Queens, NY, United States | On-site

They are currently seeking a dedicated Service Alarm Technician to join their dynamic team.

The Role

  • Respond to trouble tickets to ensure application uptime and system performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve application and system issues individually and as part of a team.
  • Execute preventative maintenance tasks for system fault identification and to maximize application availability.
  • Perform routine configuration changes, including user permissions and application settings.
  • Document all system modifications using a digital change control tracking system.
  • Produce comprehensive technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.

What You'll Need

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting low voltage equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial access control, CCTV, burglary alarm, intrusion, and fire alarm systems.
  • Experience with commercial fire alarm systems (e.g., Bosch, Silent Knight preferred; Simplex, Notifier, Edwards, Siemens a plus).
  • NICET certification or State Fire License is preferred.
  • ESA Certified Alarm Technician and NTS Certified Service Technician certifications are preferred.
  • Working knowledge of network communications and IP addressing.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills.
