SOC Manager

A growing cybersecurity firm in DC is seeking a SOC Manager to lead its Cybersecurity Operations Team across SOC analysis, security engineering, and insider risk. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on strengthening detection and response capabilities, improving security operations, and developing the team. This position requires onsite work 4 days per week in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities

• Lead the SOC, security engineering, and insider risk teams.
• Oversee security monitoring, detection, triage, investigations, and incident response.
• Develop and improve incident detection, response, escalation, and reporting processes.
• Improve the effectiveness and utilization of security tools across the organization.
• Develop strategies to strengthen SOC capabilities and team expertise.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, including managing a SOC supporting at least 2,000 users.
• Active PMP or equivalent certification.
• Hands-on experience with detection, triage, investigations, and incident response.
• Strong security engineering experience and understanding of security operations best practices.
• Currently hold a Public Trust or have the ability to obtain one.
• Ability to work onsite 4 days per week in Washington, DC.
